Girl Get It, is a brand I created to speak to women who are ambitious and pursuing their goals. I wanted to develop a space that inspired conversation among women who are driven to succeed but also crave balance. In developing the brand I thought about my own life and what inspires me fight for my dreams.
While out shopping with my girlfriends one day I was struck with an epiphany. During shopping trips we would frequently encourage each other to try things on or make certain purchases with motivating statements like, “That looks great on you, you have to buy it, girl get it!.” It dawned on me then how having a team of positive supporters behind you really helps in the decision-making process, and also inspires you to take more risk.
What if you had this type of encouragement for other things you are attempting to accomplish in life?
You want a new job, “Girl Get It” — apply.
You want to start a business, “Girl Get It” — start writing your business plan.
You want more happiness in your life, “Girl Get IT” –take the steps to get happy.
Whatever the IT is that you are trying to achieve you can — you just have to start!
So, what’s your IT? You know, that thing you’ve been dreaming about doing but have been to afraid to pursue. What if I told you that the dream wouldn’t have been placed inside of you if you weren’t meant to pursue it. Would you take the leap then? Whatever it is you are waiting to pursue, girl you just need to go for it.
Drive, purpose and a positive mindset are all it takes to begin. I sincerely believe that you can create your ideal life, through planning and hard work. It also helps to have a tribe of cheerleaders, helping to motivate you along the path.
My hope is that this blog will serve as a positive inspirational space, to share ideas and empower you to take charge of your life and go after your dreams.
