What do you love about the weekend?
Weekends are the days I look forward to the most. I enjoy having time off the clock to indulge in a few guilty pleasures. Whether it’s exploring the city or just laying in bed a few extra hours; weekends are my recharge time. I always feel the most creative during the weekends. It’s a time where I can put my 9 to 5 responsibilities to the side, and focus on feeding my entrepreneurial endeavors. The weekend is also a time where I focus on self-care, because sometimes you just need a break from the hustle.

One of my favorite guilty pleasures during the weekend, is taking time to literally smell the roses. I love flowers, and having them in my space instantly perks me up. So one of the acts of self-care I indulge in, is I giving myself the gift of a fresh bouquet each weekend. On Saturday mornings, I enjoy looking at my flowers, while lounging in bed indulging in a cup of tea, and a fashion magazine or book.

Weekends are also a time that I enjoy feeding my mind and soul. Taking time to read and journal my thoughts and ideas, is by far my favorite thing to do on the weekend. I’ve recently become addicted to listening to podcasts, and I spend time on the weekends getting caught up on some my faves. My current favorite podcast to listen to on the weekend is Think & Grow Chick by Courtney Sanders. She has a way of motivating that really resonates with me. Podcasts are great sources of inspiration, and I highly recommend tuning in to a few during your off time.
The time off on Saturday and Sunday, is time that I sincerely cherish. I like to make the most of my weekends, and sneak in a few guilty pleasures at the same time. There is something about having a full, and delightful weekend that makes the work week a lot easier to face. What are some of your weekend guilty pleasures?
Oh, I just want what we all want: a comfortable couch, a nice beverage, a weekend of no distractions and a book that will stop time, lift me out of my quotidian existence and alter my thinking forever. – Elizabeth Gilbert
